Navah Frost is a self taught baker whose buttercream botanical cakes and cupcakes have become a sensation in her home town of New York City. Her love for food and baked goods in particular followed her in her original career as a concert pianist, taking her all over the world. In between rehearsals and performances she found herself seeking out the best bakery in the area and sampling local specialties, whether they be familiar or totally unknown. In 2020 during the pandemic with concerts indefinitely postponed, Navah became intrigued by a floral cupcake bouquet she saw on Instagram and without wasting time, started learning how to pipe buttercream flowers using resources on the internet. Soon after, she started Frosted by Navah out of her home kitchen and turned her pandemic hobby into a business.
